Honestly

sometimes, just sometimes,
I wish I could feel how it is like when accompanying you is a chore because I’m so super busy with my own life and my friends who would call me out non-stop. And I would have to ‘sacrifice’  my super busy life and friends instead of willingly wanting to spend time with you.

Then you would feel how I feel right now.   -degraded

I exaggerate, but I just needed to vent somewhere.

‎I make mistakes. That’s what I do. I speak without thinking. I act without knowing. I drink so much that I can barely walk. I’m a fantastic lover though, and an amazing friend. God knows I mean well.

Life, fragile as it is

Today, I visited a relative at a hospital. This was the second time she was admitted. The first for a knee replacement, the second for gallbladder stones.

Today, about a week after she was re-admitted, I thought she looked pretty healthy for a patient that has not eaten for 10 days and has been throwing up excessively. She could still joke, if there was no come for her, there will still always be Pepsi!

I’ve always enjoyed talking to old relatives, hear their stories, their rants, even their rambling. So naturally, I striked up a conversation. I asked about how she’s feeling, how’s her previous operation on her leg… And I was very glad to hear her say,
“see! It’s okay already! Now it’s just this one left” (the gallstones)

She seems all ready to start walking again and maybe cook up her yummy lontong when shes stronger. On my side, I was looking forward to pack her lontong home as usual on Hari Raya.

Little did I know, or rather little does she know, even till today, that she has cancer.
That’s life, fragile as it is.
